Metroid 2: The Return of Samus

While exterminating all 40ish Metroids, you run into power ups like the E – Energy Tank, and the rocket missiles which you will need all of them to defeat these Metroids. Once you defeat a certain number of Metroids during the game the levels change as it unlocks the next stage to continue your quest. So once you defeat all 40ish Metroids your ready to face off against Queen Metroid!!! Not yet! It seems like there are 9 more Metroids to kill off during your way to the Queen. Damn it! So you have to equip with the Ice Beam and pack up on those rockets cause just like in the first game, you got to freeze the Metroids and kill them off with rockets. So finally once you reach Queen Metroid which looks like a dinosaur, she’s freakin’ hard to kill!! Every hit she drains almost all of your energy. God damn! Once Queen Metroid was defeated, now what!? Crap! The whole planet is about to explode and you got to get your ass out of there. While running out you run into a new born Metroid which apparently helps you escape the planet. WTF? I thought all Metroids were bad? Can I actually trust this one? We’ll see……
Overall, I didn’t really enjoy this game as much as I did with Metroid on NES. It was almost the same game but with a different agenda. I finished the game at around 6 HRS and 44 minutes and got the normal ending while the good ending is yet again Samus taking off her armor and showing her stuff. Who the hell can beat this game in less than 3HRS? Let’s hope Super Metroid makes up for this sorry game.

Ninja Gaiden: Shadows - DONE!!!!

Early this month I had the chance to play Ninja Gaiden: Shadows for the GameBoy. Now, knowing the Ninja Gaiden series already I thought I was in for a long road in trying to beat this game. Well...............not really. It seems the GameBoy version is not that tough compared to its other big brothers, (Ninja Gaiden I-III on NES). How long did it take me to beat this? Let’s see…………..2-3 HRS. The game only contains 5 stages with just about 2-3 sub-levels in each stage. The bosses are somewhat easy and the power-ups are laughable. The only trouble I had in this game was the final boss battle. Sure it was easy but using the GameBoy in your hands as a gamepad is not. I had to time and jump his attacks to avoid damage. Overall, nice game but definitely not worth a whole lot for some eBay sellers is selling this game for right now on eBay.
Real Slow These Past Months in GameBoy Land!!

It's been a long while since I picked up on continuing the GameBoy hobby. I've been lazy in updating on my blog too. Of the whole time I've been messing around I only managed to get my hands on Metroid 2: Return of Samus. I completed the 1st NES adventure of Metroid so why not continue and beat this game as well before moving on to Super Metroid on the SNES.
There really isn't much more GameBoy games to get my hands on. Some on the list of mine are just so expensive to buy and probably not worth getting now.

Kid Icarus on GameBoy!

about $9.88. Now my list is always updated every time I have bought something
and own it. I also manage to get Ninja Gaiden: Shadows for a very cheap price of $5. The game is a so called "rarity" but I guess patience is a virtue huh? Not only I bought a rare game for a cheap price but I also bought a Japanese import game for the GameBoy. I managed to buy DragonBall Z: Goku Gekitouden for $7. Ha! How about that?Anyways, Kid Icarus arrived this past week but I'm still waiting for Ninja Gaiden: Shadows and DragonBall Z: Goku Gekitouden to arrive soon.
